A Global Solution to Healthcare Inequality

In many parts of the world, people face life-threatening health conditions simply because they lack access to basic healthcare. This urgent issue demands not only immediate action but also long-term, sustainable solutions.

At the heart of this project is the goal of providing global access to essential healthcare funding. By operating on a donation-based model, the system collects financial resources from individuals around the world, creating a vital connection between those who want to give and those in need of medical assistance.

Through this initiative, we aim to bridge the gap and offer hope to those who might otherwise go without.

Designing a Transparent and Accessible Donation System

 The lack of access to essential healthcare presents a critical challenge, affecting individuals and communities worldwide. During this design project, we explored how donations could be seamlessly integrated into payment services to provide direct support for those in need of medical treatment.

After conducting extensive research on passive and active donation methods, extrinsic motivation, and market trends, we decided that a transaction-based donation system, resembling a "transaction tax," would be the most effective approach. Our primary goal was to bypass intermediary organizations, creating a transparent, immediate donation process that ensures funds go directly to those who need them.

To refine our concept, we initiated a design sprint, where we focused on creating an intuitive and user-centric system. The outcome is a donation platform that makes the act of giving simple, transparent, and deeply impactful, helping to address the barriers to healthcare access for those who need it most.

The Solution

 The change|co app revolutionizes mobile payments by integrating a simple and efficient donation system. Every transaction made through the app not only manages bills and accounts but also contributes to a supplementary fund that directly supports those in need.

Donors have the flexibility to personalize their contributions, whether through automatic donations with each payment, percentage-based contributions, or rounding up their payment totals. This customizable approach ensures that giving is easy and aligns with each user’s preferences.

On the other side, individuals seeking assistance can access financial support with ease through the app. With just a simple internet connection, they can receive aid instantly, creating a seamless and efficient process.

By connecting donors directly to those in need, change|co fosters a culture of conscious consumption and immediate impact, empowering everyone to be part of positive change.

 The foundation of this solution includes a concept video and an application prototype for the payment and donation service. The concept video, created in After Effects, utilizes animations crafted in Procreate to effectively communicate the idea and its impact.
